Debt Advice

Credit card companies are very sympathetic to requests for help with credit card debt and repayments, as it is not in their interests if their customers cannot or do not pay off their debts.  The Banking Code obliges card companies to deal with requests for help sympathetically and positively.  This is likely to involve agreeing a new repayment plan.  Credit card companies do not gain anything by having you default on your debt.

To contact an advisor at your credit card company check your credit card statement for the relevant telephone number. If you prefer, you can write to them using the address that is on your statement.
